Mentee Semester Long Commitment
- Attend monthly mentoring sessions with your mentor (1x/month for a minimum of 45 minutes)
- Complete an Educational Action Plan (EAP) with the Alakaʻi Supervisor (2x/semester)
- Attend one workshop or cultural event with your mentor (1x/semester)
- Attend all AAP mentor & mentee gatherings every semester
- Provide Alakaʻi program feedback (2x/semester)
Protocol for "No Show" Offenses:
1st Offense The mentee will be made aware of their missed appointment via email by the Alakaʻi Supervisor and a printed "No Show" offense will be placed in the student's permanent file.
2nd Offense In addition to an email from the Alakaʻi Supervisor and a printed "No Show" offense on their permanent record, the mentee must meet with the Alakaʻi Supervisor to review their
semester long commitment contract before continuing any further with the
Alakaʻi peer mentoring program.

3rd Offense The mentee will be sent notification of his or her offense and a copy of the notification will be placed in the student's permanent file. Once a mentee has reached 3 offenses, s/he will no longer be allowed to receive Alakaʻi peer mentoring services for the rest of the academic year.
